The glass bell is a recurring theme in Arnix’s work. It allows us to observe without interfering with the situation. In many communities keeping silent is the glass bell, more often referred to as the mantle of love covering injustice. It is an impermeable shell intended to keep outsiders and criticism out. We see a “Holland” village face in which the church with its mighty phallus stands in the centre. The tower symbolises power. Despite everything normal life goes on. People do the laundry, ride a horse, bicycle around and bury their beloved ones… The one who really observes sharply sees that everything continues, even abuse. Actually it looks like it was inspired by a 3-d painting by Hieronymus Bosch in the year 2012. Enjoy; there is so much to see!

The aim f the gallery is to create a space and website that will facilitate meaningful interaction with single, autonomous pieces of art. In stead of having a set schedule of exhibitions, Singular-Art will pour all of its effort and resources in the production and presentation of specific pieces by selected artists. By doing so, we hope to cultivate a dynamic cultural space that will be able to interact with both local and global communities.
